May is sports and fitness month, and we’re celebrating all month long with various classes, tournaments, and clinics!

May 1
Yoga on the Lawn
3:30 to 4:30 PM at Turtle Pond

Bring your mat and enjoy a free yoga class on the lawn. This class is low impact and perfect for all levels.
Limited yoga mats available for us. Parking is available in the Wright-Patt Club lot.
No registration required.
Open the anyone with base access.

May 9
Ultimate Dodgeball Tournament
11 AM – 1 PM at Jarvis Fitness Center

6×6 double elimination tournament, 12 teams with 6 – 8 players per team.
Winning team gets team name placed on the “Ultimate Dodgeball Wrench Trophy.”
Open the US Military, retirees, DoD Civilians and dependents ages 18+.

Armed Forces Singles Tennis Tournament
Tennis Club

Tournament begins Friday, May 16 and ends Sunday, May 18 with a cash prize of $250!  $25 entry fee per person.  Please call the Tennis Club at 937-257-7248 with any questions or to make registration payment.  Open only to active duty of any branch.

May 19
Home Run Derby
5 – 7 PM at Jarvis Fitness Center

Men will bat from home plate, women will bat from pitcher’s mound. Batting order will be selected at random. Pitchers must be at least 16 years old. Staff will be available to pitch if needed. Participants must provide their own bat. A hitting net and softballs will be available to warm-up. Free to play, but registration is required.

May 20
Free Adult Tennis Clinic
5 – 6:30 PM at Dodge Fitness Center Tennis Courts

Learn tennis fundamentals for beginners including how to hold a racket and basic stroke techniques! Please wear athletic shoes and clothing. If you do not have a tennis racket, please call head to arrange for a loaner from the Tennis Club.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. For more information, or to reserve a spot, call 937-257-7248.

May 21
4v4 Sand Volleyball Tournament
3:30 – 6:30 PM at Jarvis Fitness Center

8 team tournament, with 4-6 players per team and 3 matches guaranteed; top two teams from each bracket will move on to semi-final, winners of semi-final will play in the championship.
Open to all military members, dependents (ages 16+), DoD civilians, and retirees. Free to play, but registration is required.

3v3 Basketball Tournament
5 – 7:30 PM at Jarvis Fitness Center

Double elimination tournament of 8 teams with 3 – 4 players per team; 1 substitution. Half court, 12-minute game duration with a running clock. The winner is the first to 21 points or the team with the most points at the end of 12 minutes. Open to anyone with base access, ages 16+. Free to play, but registration is required.

2v2 Pickleball Tournament
5 – 8 PM at Wright-Patt Tennis Club

Doubles only, everyone is guaranteed at least 3 matches. Maximum of 16 teams. Four group pool play tournament; top team from each pool will move onto semi-final, winners of the semi-final will compete in championship and semi-final losers will play for 3rd place. Open to anyone with base access, ages 16+. Free to play, but registration is required.
