May is sports and fitness month, and we’re celebrating all month long with various classes, tournaments, and clinics!

Yoga on the Lawn
3:30 to 4:30 PM at Turtle Pond
Bring your mat and enjoy a free yoga class on the lawn. This class is low impact and perfect for all levels.
Limited yoga mats available for us. Parking is available in the Wright-Patt Club lot.
No registration required. Open the anyone with base access.

Ultimate Dodgeball Tournament – FULL!
11 AM – 1 PM at Jarvis Fitness Center
Register your team to compete in the FREE double elimination dodgeball tournament on May 9 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Jarvis Fitness Center.
You must register as a team with a team name, number of team members, and shirt sizes.
Teams are made of 6 – 8 people max (6 active players and 2 subs) Official Dodgeball T-Shirts will be provided.
Open to U.S. Military, Civilians, Dependents, and Retirees.
A prize will be awarded to the top team. Refreshments will be provided.

Armed Forces Singles Tennis Tournament
Tennis Club
Tournament begins Friday, May 16 and ends Sunday, May 18 with a cash prize of $250! $25 entry fee per person. Please call the Tennis Club at 937-257-7248 with any questions or to make registration payment. Open to anyone with base access ages 18+.

Home Run Derby
5 – 7 PM at Jarvis Fitness Center
Join us for the 2025 Home Run Derby on May 19, from 5 – 7pm at the Jarvis Softball Diamond!
Here’s how it’ll work:
- Each batter will get 2 minutes (unlimited pitches)
- 12 inch softballs will be used
- Participant’s total number of home runs will be recorded
- A ball must clear the fence on a fly (in fair territory) to count as a home run
- Men will bat from home plate, women will bat from pitcher’s mound
- Batting order will be selected at random
- Please arrive by 5pm to bat in your assigned spot.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own pitcher
- Pitchers must be at least 16 years old. Staff will be available to pitch if needed.
- Participants must provide their own bat
- A hitting net and softballs will be available to warm-up
The competition is open to all military members, dependents (ages 16+), DoD civilians, and retirees. Registration is required. Signups close May 14.

Free Adult Tennis Clinic
5 – 6:30 PM at Dodge Fitness Center Tennis Courts
Learn tennis fundamentals for beginners including how to hold a racket and basic stroke techniques! Please wear athletic shoes and clothing. If you do not have a tennis racket, please call head to arrange for a loaner from the Tennis Club.

4v4 Sand Volleyball Tournament
3:30 – 6:30 PM at Jarvis Fitness Center
Join us for the 2025 4v4 Sand Volleyball Tournament on May 21, from 3:30 – 6:30pm at the Jarvis Fitness Center Sand Volleyball Courts!
Here’s how it’ll work:
- 8 teams, 4-6 players per team
- 2 court tournament: 4 team round-robin tournament per court
- Winner per court advances to championship
- Best-of-three set, rally point scoring, win by 2 points; game 1 & 2 are played to 21, game 3 (if needed) is played to 15
- Matches capped at 30 minutes
- Must have a minimum of 3 players present to avoid forfeit
The competition is FREE to play and open to all military members, dependents (age 18+), DoD civilians, and retirees.
Registration is required and closes May 16.
A prize and bragging rights will be awarded to the winning team!

3v3 Basketball Tournament
5 – 7:30 PM at Wright Field Fitness Center
Join us for the 2025 3v3 Basketball Tournament on May 28, from 5 – 7:30pm at the Wright Field Fitness Center!
Here’s how it’ll work:
- 4 court tournament: 4 team round robin tournament per court. Winner per court advances to semi-final
- 16 teams of 3-4 players per team
- Make it, take it rules
- Half court, 12-minute game duration with a running clock
- Winner is the first to 21 points or the team with the most points at the end of 12 minutes
- Behind 3-point arc is worth 2 points, inside 3-point arc is one point
- 2 minute overtime if tiebreaker is necessary
- Players call their own fouls
- 2 timeouts permitted per team
The competition is FREE to play and open to anyone with base access, ages 18+.
Registration is required and closes May 23.
A prize and bragging rights will be awarded to the winning team!

2v2 Pickleball Tournament
5 – 8 PM at Wright-Patt Tennis Club
Round out Fitness & Sports Month by competing in the 2025 2v2 Pickleball Tournament on May 30, from 5 – 8pm at the Wright-Patt Tennis Club!
Here’s how it’ll work:
- maximum of 16 teams
- 4 group pool play tournament; top team from each pool will move onto semi-final, winners of the semi-final will compete in championship and semi-final losers will play for 3rd place
- each team is guaranteed 3 matches
- best of 3 games played to 11 points, win by 2
The competition is FREE to play and open to anyone with base access, ages 16+. All skill levels are welcome!
Registration is required and closes May 27.
A prize and bragging rights will be awarded to the winning team!
