How can a Development Advisor help me?

What is a Development Advisor?

The Career Assistance Advisor acts as the principal advisor to CCs and supervisors on retention issues. The program is designed to welcome and educate new FTA to the local base and assist supervisors when talking to subordinates about the benefits of Air and Space Force careers. Enlisted and Officer enhancement courses are conducted for CGOs, SNCOs, NCOs, and Airmen/Guardians and Informed Decision briefings for the first- and second-term Airmen/Guardians. The DA also assists CCs and supervisors in career counseling and conducts advertising and publicity programs.

Meet Your Development Advisor

Master Sergeant Tamara Bruinink is the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Development Advisor.
She was raised in Savannah, Georgia and enlisted in the Air Force in April 2007. After graduating tech school for Surgical Technology, her first duty station was Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She was then stationed at Osan AB, Korea, followed by Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. While at Andrews she was accepted into her first special duty as an Ops NCO in the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo, where she served for three years. After completing that tour she returned to Wright-Patterson where she was the Flight Chief of the Operating Room for three years before becoming the current Development Advisor.
